FOUR SEASONS. FOUR ASTER EVENTS.

ASTER comes to life four times a year in Annecy, in the heart of the French Alps.

The ASTER Film Festival takes place twice a year, with a Summer Edition and a Winter Edition. Films chosen for the Official Selection are screened in Annecy during a live festival event, bringing filmmakers, audiences and independent cinema together.

Between the two festivals, the ASTER Film Awards return for two additional editions: Spring and Autumn. These international competitions celebrate outstanding independent films across our different categories. Only award-winning films are presented during an intimate public screening and awards event, hosted in a local venue in Annecy.

All ASTER Film Awards winners receive a complimentary submission to the following ASTER Film Festival, where their films will be considered by our selection committee.
